Zillow Makes Deal with Realogy
Individual brokers cannot realistically opt out of Zillow & keep clients happy. The only possibility would be for all brokers to do it (and then some brokers would “black-market” their listings onto it, anyway, lol).
I checked the link about the broker who opted out of Zillow in 2012. Totally untenable… the same arguments he made against Zillow could just as easily apply to the MLS (ie having people not the listing agent, and less knowledgable than the listing agent, representing buyers). Not persuasive and not likely to be generally accepted by sellers.
