Today we want to talk about what Zillow does right.  We can come across as being anti-Zillow at times, but if you listen to what our real beef is, it’s with the MLS’s and the real estate industry.  Zillow has built a huge business out of the lack of innovation within the real estate industry and we don’t understand why the industry has let that happen and chooses not to do anything about it.

"What Zillow Does Right"

AGREED!!! Zillow was brilliant! The NAR and ancient MLS’s made Zillow rich and powerful. We hate Zillow,…but we MADE them, AND we paid to make them!! 🙂

I totally agree that NAR and MLS boards have dropped the ball in regards to Zillow and other feeds. If they were on top of their game, they would have been proactive and should be promoting our listings the same way these other sites are. The biggest problem for me in all of these feeds, are the feeds going to Zillow. Zillow does a terrible job in ensuring the accuracy of how they pull data from the MLS boards. The result is incorrect information posted on the Zillow site. This is especially true on vacant ground, where there is more than one parcel. Of my current 14 listings on Zillow only 5 are posted correctly, because I do a lot of vacant land. Zillow does not offer good support to fix these incorrect feeds. You must submit in email request, and good luck with hearing anything back or getting it fixed. This reflects badly on all agents trying to run a professional business, and have no control over how they post our listings. Class action lawsuit anyone?

Everyday the video stops after several seconds and freezes up. Sometimes I go out and get back in until I can watch the whole thing, but most times I just X Out.

Is anyone else complaining? Or could this be an error on my end? Thank you.

Yes Boys and Girls, Change is gonna come! The storng will adapt, survive and thrive, the weak, not so much! The 40 years that I’ve been in “The Business” survival has always followed Darwin’s Theory of Evolution. Perhaps Zillow isn’t just an evolution but a REVOLUTION! Viva Le Zesitmate!

Federal anti trust ! Read about what scares the national association of realtors

  7. Marianne Robinson says:

Actually, Zillow isn’t all that great. 1. They do not have up to date information all the time. I have looked up their supposed “Active” listings and 1/2 are not active, they are “Pending” or even “Sold” not only sold, but sold sometimes up to 3 years earlier…. As far as giving Zillow Sale information…not going to happen with me.
