To your point, 2/3rds thru our current billing period my 14 y/o has used 11G of data and has made ZERO phone calls. The app with the most data usage? Snapchat. Guess what I'm downloading next?

This is why I have a 20 year old assistant that does all my marketing for me. She has me and my listings on a lot of these sites. Letting sellers know where their homes will be posted on line has gotten me the listing more often than not. We are adding more technolgy just as soon as we can.

Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin is what I focus in on, but I did sign up for an Instagram account. That program isn't very user friendly but I'll buy a "Dummies" book to figure it out. Yes, the younger generation is wired differently and that's fine, but boundaries have to be set. We do not have time to pick up our phone and look at text messages every 30 seconds. E-mail is still very important because it provides both sides with a paper trail, which lessens liability. I always tell people that the quickest way to get a hold of me is to CALL me. Text communication can only go so far. We need to LISTEN to the younger generation, but we also need to lead them. They like that. That is why they work with us…they want help from their "aunt" or "uncle", not their BFF. I LOVE working with Millennials. They've been some of my best clients, and they need and want our help.

You guys are sooo right. You still have those old farts who bury their head in the sand and think that it’s wrong the way the young crowd communicate. If you have an open mind, it’s surprising how simple some of these apps and technology is.
