G & F are building small housing for their legions of twenty somethings that don’t mind living the “dorm” life for a few more years. They get a tiny apartment, and decent amenities, not to mention a great location which is at the top of their list of housing attributes. Projected sizes indicate most units would be about 250-300 square feet which is roughly a hotel room. I lived in smaller in NYC back in the day, and was quite happy with the value proposition (stellar location, cheap rent).
If I were 23, single, and wanted to save money/commuting hours I would happily live in one of these units to be able to live in a desirable location. G & F are simply using their muscle to push through a micro-housing model that is rapidly gaining traction throughout the U.S. It benefits all. And no, I seriously doubt that there will be “monitoring” of tenants.
If you watch the video closely….He had her by her shirt and she slipped on the stairs. He did not push her down the stairs…he was guiding her to the exit. Technically, after their stay is up they are trespassing and where I live a stranger in the home usually does not end up very well for that stranger.
As sad as this video is, the H/O maybe in his rights to do what he did. It’s going to cost him some lawyer cash but I would not bet against him……depending on what state that is.
