"Ever Promote a Tool Exchange?"

My concern is liability…you lend a table saw and the clients cuts off a finger!

Great idea, although how hard will it be to get the tools back? Will you spend your time chasing to get them back and will this cause angst with the borrower? Run a credit card? Could get complex fast. It might be better to have an agreement with a rental company that is providing you a discount to send them customers in place of the expense, management, and liability of the program. You can then co-market to their database!

Then there is the problem of getting the tools BACK… But I agree, there are a lot of tools that you need as a homeowner that you use very seldom and simply buying them as the need arises is very expensive, not to mention you know little or nothing about the tool you need.

there are some local habitat for humanity the offer tool use for a small membership fee.
