Most brokers don’t underwrite, fund or service. The only thing you can do is beat the wholesalers rate either going back to the same wholesaler or to a new lender. Also, imagine you work at Wells Fargo and a broker is using Wells’ wholesale and beats the rate you can offer. Ever try to renegote for a lower rate if you work at Wells? Much easier if you broker the loan to Wells wholesale.
My UWM rep, Gary Gains, went through my pipeline and marked old loans as possible Regis for MI removal or rate reduction. Now I work those first.
My other rep just calls and asks for more loans.
