This industry thouroughly disgutst me. It has become the proverbial frog in boiling water, and every regulation brings it closer to its demise. HVCC/AMC's (Cuomo), Dodd/Frank, CFPB (and its unconstitutionally appointed director that was recess appointed AFTER being rejected by the Senate), ATR, QM, LO Comp (yeah, restricting me from doing a no/reduced commission for my friends and family really protects the consumer), LE, CD, TRID, "SAFE" Act, etc. etc. It has just become some cubicle bureaucrat's wet dream. The fact that the industry just rolled over and let itself get played like this is truly disgusting. I would wholeheartedly support and join in an industry wide ban on all lending – retail, wholesale, big bank, small bank, the whole thing, shut it down. Scorched earth is the only thing that will save the industry from being completely hijacked by the federal govt. (which it is well on its way to becoming. Just like health care; way to go guys, that worked swimmingly). Can't wait to get out and leave the smoking wreckage behind me.
